The Department of Public Works is an 18-person organization dedicated to maintenance of city streets, right of ways, storm water drainage, creeks, retention ponds, sidewalks, street signs, city vehicles and equipment, in a safe, efficient and professional manner to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Berea.
Public Works provides public service in the following areas:
- Street maintenance (including potholes)
- Street signs
- Storm water drainage
- Grass and weed control (for public areas only)
- Snow and ice removal (sidewalks, parking lots and private drives are cleared by the property owners)
- Brush and leaf pickup
